In Loving Memory of Vanessa

It is with profound sadness and endless love that we announce the passing of our beloved Vanessa, who left this world on July 27, 2026, at the age of 36, after a courageous battle with cholangiocarcinoma.

Vanessa was a fighter in every sense of the word. She faced every challenge with remarkable strength, determination, and resilience. She never stopped advocating for herself, for her health, and for the life she wanted to live. Even as cancer took a tremendous toll on her body, it never diminished her spirit or her love for those closest to her.

Above all else, Vanessa was a devoted mother. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was her son, Julian, lovingly known as “Juju” He was the center of her world, the reason she fought so fiercely, and the love of her life.

Vanessa had a passion for beauty, fashion, makeup, and hair. She had an incredible eye for style and was the person family and friends turned to when they wanted to feel beautiful. Even in the final days of her illness, when her own body was failing her, she still found joy in styling hair, applying makeup, and helping those around her look and feel their best. Looking beautiful wasn’t just something Vanessa did—it was simply who she was.

She also had a true love for food. Vanessa loved trying new restaurants, recreating dishes at home, and creating recipes with her own unique twist. Food brought her joy and was one of the ways she expressed her love for others. Even when her illness changed her sense of taste and took away the enjoyment she once found in eating, that passion never faded. She continued talking about food, recipes, and flavors, holding tightly to one of the things that made her happiest.

Vanessa was unapologetically herself. She knew exactly who she was and never hid it. She was outspoken, fiercely honest, wonderfully bossy, and had a way of keeping everyone on their toes. If she loved something, you knew it. If she didn’t, you definitely knew it. Those who loved her cherished her authenticity, her confidence, and the fact that she never pretended to be anyone other than herself. Even in her final moments, she remained true to who she was—strong, real, and unforgettable.

Vanessa leaves behind her beloved son, Julian; her loving mother, Ana Ramos; her beloved father, Ivan Rodriguez; her beloved brother, Ivan Rodriguez; her sister, Gabrielle Vazquez; her sisters, Evaneisha Rodriguez and Elianis Rodriguez; and her Aunt Evette Rodriguez, whose unconditional love for Vanessa throughout her life reflected a beautiful mother - daughter bond. She also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold her memory close.

In her final days, Vanessa was surrounded by an extraordinary outpouring of love from family and friends. Day after day, they came to sit beside her, hold her hand, share stories, laugh through tears, pray with her, and simply be present. Her home became a place filled with love, comfort, and cherished memories as countless people came to tell her how much she meant to them. Seeing the steady stream of loved ones who came to visit was a beautiful reflection of the life she lived and the hearts she touched. Knowing she was so deeply loved brought her immeasurable comfort, and it brought our family peace to witness the profound impact she had on so many lives. She left this world embraced by the love of those who meant the most to her, and there is no greater gift we could have given her.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Vanessa is finally at peace and free from the pain she endured with such courage. We will remember her for her strength, her resilience, her beauty inside and out, her love of food and creativity, her fearless honesty, and above all, the unconditional love she had for her son and family.

My daughter, I loved you from the moment I knew you existed, and I will love you for every moment I remain here. It was the greatest honor of my life to be your mother.

Walking beside you during your final days was a gift I will cherish forever. Through our many conversations, our laughter, our tears, and the quiet moments we shared together, we found a closeness that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Those moments gave me memories I will treasure forever. Thank you for allowing me to be there, to hold your hand, to care for you, and to love you until your very last breath.

Thank you for trusting me with your greatest gift—Julian. I promise you he will always be surrounded by love, guidance, and family. I will raise him as my own, with a mother’s love, while always being his Grandma. He will grow up held by a strong, devoted circle who will never leave his side: his Grandma, Grandpa Raffy, Uncle Ivan Rodriguez, Aunt Gabby, Grandfather Ivan, Titi Evette, and all his aunts and extended family.
We will all be there for him, always.

I will speak your name often, share your stories, celebrate your life, and make sure he always knows the remarkable woman who was his mother. As long as I am here, your love will live on through him. This is our promise to you.

You fought with extraordinary courage, you loved with your whole heart, and you left this world surrounded by love.

Rest peacefully, my beautiful daughter. You will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Until we meet again, my heart will always belong to you. This is our promise to you.
