It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert “Jack” Hussey, a devoted military man, who was cherished by many for his wit, loyalty and friendship.

Born in Boston, MA on January 24, 1946, Jack lived a full and vibrant life before his departure on June 27, 2025. He was a retired veteran of the US Army and Navy after devoting more than 30 years in service to his country. Jack was a long-term member of both the VFW and Amvets Posts and was a Commander of both St. Mark’s Post and
the McKeon Post, Dorchester. He was also an avid sports fan, so you could always find him at his favorite post cheering on the Red Sox or Patriots.

As head of the Hussey family, Jack was husband to Patricia “Pat” (Muscato) and father to their 4 children: Patrick “PJ” (and his wife, Beth), Robert “Bobby” (and his partner, Janine), Theresa and Michael (and his wife, Colleen). Jack’s greatest joy was his grandchildren: William (and his wife, Danielle), Tayla (and her husband, Joshua),
Nanina, Camden, Joshua and Ryan; and his 8 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind two sisters, Betty Holland and Donna Hussey, his sister-in-law Joanne Hussey, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him dearly. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Julia Hussey, his sister Mary Potter, and his
brothers Al Hussey and Patrick Hussey.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Jack’s life at the McHoul Family Funeral Home, 354 Adams Street, Dorchester, MA on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 4 – 7PM. The funeral service will also be held at the McHoul Family Funeral Home on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 10AM, followed by a brief graveside
service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, Massachusetts, at 1:45PM.

We invite you to share your favorite memories, stories and photos of Jack on his memorial page. Your contribution will help keep his spirit alive.
